Getting Dressed

A couple of Sundays ago we came home from church as usual and started getting dinner ready. Luke wanted to change his clothes so we told him to go upstairs and pick out a pair of pants/shorts and a tee shirt. Later he returned all proud of himself that he had picked out his favorite shirt and and a pair of pants, no or are they capris?

David yells to me and our conversation goes like this,

"Honey, did you really buy Luke a pair of Capris that is really fruity?"

I said, "No, they would look stupid!"

David, "Well then what is he wearing?"

Me, "I don't know I haven't seen him yet."
David, "Luke go show Mommy what your wearing!"

Me laughing, "David he must have gotten into Logans pant drawer those are Logan's pants!"

So as you can see Luke is extremely skinny and can fit into 6month old pants or for him capris.

The Snorkel

So Luke got a snorkel from David for his birthday. The weather has had its ups and downs and Luke really wanted to swim so, he took it in the bathtub.

So Luke is 3! It is hard to believe that 3 years has flown buy. Like every birthday we celebrated in style exactly how Luke likes it. This year it was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! We had a nice family birthday party here at the house on Sunday. Fixed Luke's birthday dinner at his request, hot dogs! Opened presents and ate cake.

The cake he wanted was one that he saw on the internet when I was searching for ideas and he told me that I had to make it for his birthday party. It was very involved and took me 2 days to make. Granted I had never used fondant before, but because I watch Ace of Cakes on Food Network I thought I'd take a stab at it. What do you thing? I don't know if I will go into cake decorating as a profession but it was fun!

Today we spent the whole day at Disneyland and had such a blast! Disneyland's theme is "What will you celebrate?" So if you register your birthday and bring valid ID you can get into the park for free. So what we did was took his ticket and put it towards an annual pass.

The day was extremely hot probably close to 100 degrees. But the lines were short and Luke is finally tall enough to go on some "Big Boy" rides, mainly Matterhorn. He was giggling and loved every minute of while covering his ears. He didn't want to here all the loud noises.
We also went on the Tuck and Roll Drive'Em Buggies AKA the Bumper cars. The boys seemed like they had a good time. Logan and I were just chillin' out in the shade.

Every time we go to D-land Luke seems to wander over to the "Pieces of Eight" pirate store and picks out "HIS" sword. Well today he bought one with his own birthday money. Thanks Grandma-ma!

It is so fun to watch your child grow, learn and have dreams of their own. I adore Luke and feel so blessed and grateful to my heavenly Father for entrusting him to David and I. He is a handful and quite bossy, stubborn and strong willed but I know that he has a strong spirit to overcome the challenges and obstacles that will be placed before him.

Mold, Moving and Madness

I'm sooooo behind on news but I thought I would do the most recent on January 14 we moved! Here is the story. . .

So after 13 weeks of living in the house at 113 Calle de Felicidad RSM we are forced to move. The dishwasher had a horrible leak that was a problem before we moved in and the previous renters didn't disclose it. Anyway there was mold all throughout the hardwood floor and the entire first floor was covered in hardwood. The homeowner tried to get his homeowners insurance to pay for the damage and they denied his claim. The estimated cost to fix the problem was $13,000! The homeowner just didn't have the means to pay for it and so we were forced to move for the sake of our health. We had two weeks to move and that was that. We had a huge garage sale and sold off all of our furniture that was replaceable and put the rest in storage.

This is where are dishwasher was for 8 weeks. Out on our patio. Keep in mind that this whole thing started the weekend of Thanksgiving!

We packed all our clothes, personal items (that we would need) and of course "TOYS" and moved back in with my parents! My mom and dad were gracious enough to give us place to stay. We would not have been able to rent anything else because neither of us are employed.
So in we came and here we are. It has been a whirlwind of events and we are just trying to keep thing semi-normal for the sake of the boys. But all in all things are for the best and we are just grateful for the help, patience, love and support that I get from my friends and family and espcially from my Father in heaven. I know that I would have not been able to overcome this "MADNESS" with his help.
